Winter "Quarteros Curios" is coming to an end — will there be an update in Dota 2 today?

There is less than a day left until the end of the winter season of “Quarteros Curios” in Dota 2. The developers have specified the exact date and time of the event's end in the game client — 05.03.2026 23:00. However, does this mean that a major update will take place in the game tonight?

Valve often fails to prepare content on schedule, as the developers admitted in an article where they talked about the features of developing the “Nest of Thorns” event. It is quite possible that we will only see the end of the in-game timer and the automatic completion of the current event without the release of an update — as was the case at the end of the autumn “Quarteros Curios”.

But it is still more likely that there will be at least a seasonal Dota Plus update, and Quartero will delight us with new sets. Dataminer Fay believes that the developers may publish an announcement sharing their plans for upcoming events, but does not expect a gameplay update today. Although during the recent DreamLeague Season 28, the patch was not released as usual, and more than a month has passed since the release of 7.40c.
