Watson told how he got into the Gaimin Gladiators

Carry Gaimin Gladiators Alimzhan watson Islambekov, who replaced Anton Dyrachyo Shkredov in this position, shared how he joined the roster.

Alimzhan mentioned that Gaimin Gladiators representatives contacted him right after The International 2024, which slightly contradicts the information provided by Aleksandr Nix Levin, who claimed that the signing of watson was planned even before Riyadh Masters 2024.

They just approached me after The International, then the coach messaged me on Discord. That’s it - I agreed. 

watson also shared that no other teams besides GG approached him with offers. He had only two options: to join Gaimin Gladiators or stay in Cloud9.

I only had two options: to stay with Cloud9 or move to Gaimin Gladiators.

Alimzhan also talked about his relationships with the players in his new team. He noted that he had no difficulties integrating into the new lineup since watson already knew all the team members.

We played together for a week, scrimming, just getting used to each other. They accepted me in a chill way. I pretty much knew everyone already, having seen them at previous tournaments. The vibe is just chill.

Gaimin Gladiators with watson are currently competing in the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024. The team secured 3rd place in their group and advanced to the playoffs with just one loss to Team Falcons.
