Dread: "With this kind of play, Team Spirit will at least make it to the top 8 at The International"
Former professional Dota 2 player Andrey Dread Golubev shared his thoughts on the current form of Team Spirit at the ESL One Raleigh 2025 tournament.
According to him, the team is so experienced that they can afford to not play at full power and still remain competitive. Constant participation in major tournaments allows Spirit to relax in the early stages, not worrying about the result, and even playing at 75% of their potential team is still able to advance and win tournaments.
Many might disagree and say: how can they play at half power in a tournament with huge prize money? But I’m sure that Spirit knows when to truly turn it on. Right now, they’re just “playing their default game”: won — great, lost — no big deal. The key is to maintain balance within the team, so no one burns out from overexertion while others are playing in a relaxed mode.

Despite such statements, the last tournament where Team Spirit claimed victory was DreamLeague Season 25, which ended in early March. In the next two tournaments, PGL Wallachia: Season 3 and FISSURE Universe Ep.4, the team took fourth and sixth places, respectively. In the ongoing ESL One Raleigh 2025, the team is currently in second place in Group A at the group stage.
