Taiga: "I have been having anxiety and depression for a while, it just got worse after TI"

Support OG Tommy Taiga Le explained the reason why he is not in the starting lineup for DPC 2023 for Western Europe. The player has developed anxiety and depression, and things have been getting worse since The International 11. 

"Thanks bunny, sorry for keeping you guys in the dark, but I have been having anxiety & depression for a while, it just got worse after ti, I might seem like I’m fine but I really wasn’t. Thats why my performances has been very shaky. I’m on therapy right now to get better, and it’s been helping me to get back my drive & motivation to come back streaming and pubbing, it’s not fully there yet but I’m taking the steps towards healing"

Tommy also dispelled rumors that he was allegedly involved in unfair play:

"I know there are random speculations to why I’m not playing, just know that I have been given a proper break to recover from stress and my health. I have been ill more often than normal this year, gone to the doctor more often, and I didn’t feel the motivation to do anything. The last thing I need now is drama and non sense rumors to why my break is this long. Thanks for respecting my privacy".

OG is currently in 5th place in the DPC 2023 standings for Western Europe. They have 1 win and 2 losses in 3 games. Taiga was replaced by Merlin and Aramis. 

The next OG match will be on May 26 against Team Liquid.
