Player Taiga from Dota 2
Information
Bio
Tommy Taiga Le is the most famous Norwegian Dota 2 player. At the age of 15-16 he played HoN and League of Legends, but chose Dota for his cybersport career. He took 13-16th place at The International 2019 as a member of Team Alliance.
GH, JerAx, Miracle - this is the list of players that Tommy looked up to. Before getting into Alliance, everyone knew Taiga as a pretty good performer in the role of hardlane and solo mid. However, after joining the Swedish organization, he gave his place to his teammate Boxi, becoming his line partner on the 4th position. As he told in one of his interviews, his past experience as a midranger helped him to feel the game better - against many mid lane matches Taiga intuitively knew when it was worth coming to the gank and helping his ally. Tommy was especially good at ganks on Earth Spirit and Dark Willow.
In addition to Boxi, miCKe, qojqva and team captain iNSaNiA also became Taiga's teammates. Both under the Alliance tag and under the new Team Liquid tag, this squad often took 5th-6th place at major Dash-1 events like EPICENTER Major 2019, MDL Chengdu Major and DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major. The Norwegian squad did not do without prizes as well - DOTA Summit 10 ended with a victory of the Norwegian team, and participation in the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 2 tournament ended with a silver medal.
The number of Taiga's professional matches has already passed the 400-game mark, and the winrate varies between 56-57%. Taiga's approach to defeats is quite simple, but more than effective: if you lose, you should play more, because apparently you're not good enough yet. In October 2019, Taiga joined Team Liquid together with his teammates. May 2020 was quite successful for the team - Team Liquid won the WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1 (bronze) and OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: EU/CIS (silver). After more than two years of playing for Liquid Taiga moved under the OG banner as an experienced player for the young squad.
November 16, 2023 Bleed Esports has announced the roster for the closed qualification at ESL One: Kuala Lumpur 2023. Tommy Taiga Le and Naththaphon Masaros Ouanphakdi have joined the team. The lineup took 5th-6th place and did not make it to the main part of the tournament.
In January 2024 Taiga participated in the qualifications for DreamLeague Season 22 and BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 as a member of the Level UP team, but failed to qualify for either tournament. After that Tommy participated in the European Pro League Season 16 with the same Level UP. The team failed to make it out of the group stage and finished in 11th-12th place, which turned out to be Tommy's last appearance. In February 2024, Tommy Taiga Lee announced that he was ending his career as a professional Dota 2 player and would dedicate himself to streaming.
