“Right now, this is legal 322”, analyst on the situation with 1win Team

Analyst Khaled sQreen El-Habbash commented on 1win Team’s loss at the FISSURE Universe: Episode 8 Play-In stage, which was caused by the team’s premature exit from the match due to a schedule conflict with the PGL Wallachia Season 7 qualifier.

1win knew in advance that they would not finish the match due to the priority of the PGL qualifier, but did not inform the community about it. People lost money, and friends, acquaintances, or relatives could have taken advantage of this. Such situations have already happened before (OG and Runa Team). At the moment, this is legal 322.

The analyst also called for this case to be made public due to frequent cases of fixed matches, citing the recent disbandment of Runa Team and the exposure of former OG Esports player Tommy Taiga Le as examples.

In response to the criticism, 1win Team manager Ivan 4SV Karpov explained the reasons behind the decision.

We received a match reschedule from FISSURE, but due to delays on PGL we started receiving draft time penalties. When it became clear that we could get a technical loss and be eliminated from the tournament, a decision had to be made. I cannot allow the team to skip a tournament when there is even a minimal chance to advance further.

It should be noted that in the closed qualifier for PGL Wallachia Season 7, the team reached the upper bracket final and will play today against Power Rangers for a spot in the grand final. The winner of the qualifier will receive a slot at the main tournament, which will take place from 05.03.2026 to 15.03.2026 in Bucharest, Romania, where 16 teams will compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool.

1win Team could indeed have prioritized this tournament, as the prize pool at FISSURE Universe is only $250,000, and defeating Aurora Gaming was already a difficult task for them.

Earlier, Cyberscore reported that PARIVISION withdrew from FISSURE Universe: Episode 8 despite having previously received an invitation.
