South Korea made a statement regarding participation in Esports Nations Cup 2026 after a conflict with the organizers
Representatives of the Korean Esports Association (KeSPA) published a statement announcing that agreements had been reached with the organizers of Esports Nations Cup 2026 following their recent conflict.
Korean national players will participate in the competition under the official name “Team Korea of Esports.” The selection process for South Korea’s national team coaches and players will continue in accordance with the principles of professional fairness, the rules of both parties, and competition standards.
KeSPA also noted that the main goal of the cooperation with the organizers is to give the strongest Korean players the opportunity to represent their country and showcase a high level of play on the international stage.

It should be recalled that earlier the Korean association accused the tournament organizers of directly and indirectly influencing the national team roster.
Because of this conflict, the participation of the Korean national team was under threat. If the players had agreed to compete separately, they would have been prohibited from using the country’s name and symbols.
At the same time, the deadline for roster submissions expires on May 10, while the roadmap will be approved by May 22. Shortly after that, the lists of national teams receiving invitations will be announced.
Esports Nations Cup 2026 will take place from 02.11.2026 to 08.11.2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Regional qualifiers for the championship will begin on July 25. The tournament will feature competitions in 16 esports disciplines. More than 100 national teams will compete for a $20,000,000 prize pool.
As Cyberscore previously reported, the star-studded lineup of coaches for the event has already been announced.
