SoNNeikO commented on his situation with ATF at PGL Wallachia Season 2

Full-support AVULUS Akbar SoNNeikO Butaev shared his version of events regarding his clash with offlaner Team Falcons Ammar ATF Al-Assaf at the PGL Wallachia Season 2.

Akbar stated that he did not intend to attack ATF, but merely wanted to talk to him about their old conflict, yet Ammar did not want to resolve the matter peacefully.

At the hotel, I saw Ammar with his team. We are both Muslims, and it was important for me to speak with him personally since our faith teaches norms of respect and morality. I approached with a smile, in a very friendly vibe, put my hand on his shoulder, and embraced him like a friend so he would see me the same way, and asked him: "Do you remember why we even had this conflict? Do you remember what you said to me?" The answer was shocking: "Yes, I remember, you're braindead".

After that, other Falcons players who were standing nearby joined the conversation. Most active in defending his teammate was their carry player, Oliver skiter Lepko, who even provoked Akbar into a fight.

I was surprised because I expected him to explain or apologize. What shocked me further was the provocative behavior of his teammates, who of course started to defend him, sensing Ammar's negative vibe without trying to understand the situation. Skiter was the most active in defending. I asked him to give me a chance to talk to Ammar. I suggested stepping aside to speak privately without anyone else around to sort things out calmly. Perhaps it was taken as an invitation to fight, but my goal was just to talk.

In response, Ammar started shouting: "Hit me, go ahead, hit me right here," while his teammate Skitter added fuel to the fire, calling me a "bitch" and pushing for a fight. The conflict escalated unexpectedly, and my team stepped in to pull me aside, after which we left.

SoNNeikO and ATF were separated in time by the AVULUS managers. After that, Butaev had a short conversation with the Falcons manager, which the player wanted to continue after the match, but AVULUS forbade SoNNeikO from contacting anyone from Team Falcons.

Afterward, I managed to briefly talk to the Falcons' manager — a pleasant and professional person who, as it seemed to me, wanted to resolve the conflict quickly. After the game, I wanted to talk to him personally and explain the situation, but my organization advised me not to contact anyone from Falcons. I followed that advice, as I was sure we could discuss everything after the game. But no.

After PGL asked both teams not to contact each other, SoNNeikO ran into Skiter in the hotel restroom. There, Lepko continued to insult Butaev, to which the latter invited the Falcons player to talk to a PGL representative.

Before the game with Falcons, under VERY strange circumstances, I ran into Skitter in the restroom as I was washing my hands. I heard some mumbling and at first didn't even realize he was talking to me. I understood a few of his words, realizing he continued to throw insults — I simply asked him to follow me, and I walked to our team's room. Skitter followed me, and we met with a PGL representative. I showed them that the agreement to ignore each other was being broken not by me, but by Skitter. In response, Skitter started to be rude and insult both the PGL representative and my teammate Smiling Knight.

SoNNeikO is convinced that if he and ATF had been allowed to speak privately, the conflict would have been resolved peacefully, and the players would have remained on friendly terms.

Honestly — it feels like the situation has been blown out of proportion. I'm sure if Ammar and I had talked one-on-one, we could have resolved the issue in a few minutes and parted ways on good and friendly terms. I approached with nothing but good intentions, but what happened happened, and that cannot be changed. Next time, if it arises, I'll try to resolve the issue through team managers — that way, everyone will feel more at ease.

Let's recall that at the PGL Wallachia Season 2 tournament yesterday, an incident occurred between players SoNNeiKo and ATF. The captain of AVULUS approached the Falcons player in the hotel lobby before the match and began threatening physical violence. In response, tournament organizers PGL penalized AVULUS with a 110-second draft penalty.

However, Team Falcons found this punishment too lenient and demanded the disqualification of SoNNeiKo from the tournament. If the demand is not met, the team is considering voluntarily withdrawing from the tournament.

PGL Wallachia Season 2 runs from October 4 to 13. Sixteen teams are participating in the tournament, with a prize pool of $1,000,000.

As Cyberscore.live previously reported, AVULUS responded to the Team Falcons' statement about SoNNeiKo's disqualification from PGL Wallachia Season 2.
