Save revealed that BetBoom Team was on the verge of a disband

Current BetBoom Team support Vitaly Save Melnyk talked about the reshuffle of the Virtus.pro lineup of The International 10 and the possible disband of BetBoom Team during The Berlin Major 2023. BB Team's change of positions allowed them to avoid kick players.

Save on the reasons for Virtus.pro's disband of The International 10:

"Well, here we are coming to two majors and at both of them we get eliminated at once. We're a young team, guys 18-19 years old, and to lose two tournaments like that when we weren't ready for something like that was a big blow to all of us. Obviously, someone misbehaved at such moments, and I was among them. And then there were also some reticences, some thoughts about some things, because, as I said, not everybody behaved right then. And that was the beginning of the end. It was a time bomb. That's why after The International there was no more option to keep the roster together".

Vitaly noted the hardest moment for BetBoom Team this season - the team was on the verge of disbanding if not for the change of roles:

"There was one moment when our team almost broke, it was during the second DPC league - it was the hardest moment in the history of our team. Egor lost the desire to play and develop on the third position, and Vanya was not given a visa to Berlin. We barely made it to the majors from the third place. The atmosphere in the team wasn't very good then, to be honest. And then there are mini-conflicts in the team, the atmosphere becomes so bad - I remember how I was sitting alone at the bootcamp in a wild tilt, because everyone had gone to get visas. I didn't know then what the future held for us and whether we would be able to keep the roster".

Ivan Pure Moskalenko agreed to move to the third position and that decision miraculously kept the BetBoom Team roster changes:

"I'm personally not a fan of mid-season substitutions. When we assembled the squad, we realized that we could have a hard time, because I haven't played for a long time, Sanya moved to the "five", and then we discussed that we will not throw anyone. But then I couldn't imagine that we would be in a situation where we have a player Egor who doesn't want to play his role. But that's how it happened, and in Berlin, we got a bad place again. We flew back from the tournament and we had to make a decision. Then we miraculously managed to keep the roster, because Vanya agreed to the third position."

BetBoom Team will make their debut at BetBoom Dacha 2023 on September 10. Their opponents will be Team Secret. 

As Cyberscore reported earlier, BetBoom Team qualified for The International 12 by DPC points.
