SabeRLighT: Valve should increase the compendium share to 50–75%
Two weeks before the start of The International 2025, Team Liquid offlaner Jonáš SabeRLighT- Volek shared his thoughts on compendium revenue distribution and the tournament prize pool. He suggested increasing the percentage allocated to the pool to make the championship more significant for players.
In the past, Valve created all the content for the Battle Pass, and the prize pool was already very large, so it made sense that only 25% of sales went to the prize fund. However, now, apart from stickers, all content is created by the teams themselves. Therefore, it would be logical to increase the share to 50–75%, raising The International prize pool from $3,000,000 to a respectable $5,000,000.
Team Falcons offlaner Ammar ATF Al-Assaf responded to the suggestion with a joke:
Good suggestion, feederlight, now go win TI.
It is worth noting that the compendium for The International 2025 has still not been released, and Valve recently launched only a free in-game event with simple rewards for winning matches.
The International 2025 will take place from 04.09.2025 to 14.09.2025 in Hamburg, Germany, featuring 16 teams. The starting prize pool is $1,600,000.
Earlier, Cyberscore reported that all participants of CCT Season 2 Series 4 had been announced.
