ATF leaves Quest Esports and will not play at Riyadh Masters 2023: what happened

Nigma Galaxy's Ammar ATF al-Assaf will no longer play for Quest Esports on loan and will miss Riyadh Masters 2023. Quest said in a statement that unsuccessful contract negotiations were the reason for parting with the esportsman.

Later, the player himself explained in more detail what the parties had disagreements about. According to ATF, Quest management insisted on a long-term contract, and he was ready to represent the team only until The International 2023.

The same information was confirmed by the captain of Entity Fishman. He was extremely surprised that after the Jordanian esportsman refused to sign a long-term agreement, Quest Esports excluded the player from the roster right before The Riyadh Masters 2023, which will start on July 19.

Quest also did not stand aside and issued a statement regarding this situation. The organization’s message says that after a successful performance at The Bali Major 2023, where the team took fourth place, some players, in particular ATF, demanded to revise the terms of the previously signed contract. The Jordanian esportsman was allegedly ready to play for the club only if he participated in The International 2023. This forced the organization to say goodbye to him.

ATF moved to Quest on loan. His best achievement with the team was the 4th place at The Bali Major 2023. At the Riyadh Masters 2023, NAVI's offlaner Malik will play for Quest. 

Quest Esports will have more than a month to find a new offlaner, regional qualifications in Western Europe will start on August 27. Of the most likely options is Resolut1on. At the Riyadh Masters 2023, Quest Esports has been placed in Group B and will play its first match on July 19 against OG.
