Queen of Pain could be a new boss in Valve upcoming event

On February 9, Valve announced a major update for Dota 2 called Crownfall. Despite the lack of official details, dataminers have already begun to actively study the game's files and learned that the main boss of the event is likely to be Queen of Pain, which is consistent with the name of the update.

Dataminers actively and regularly check the game's files for new updates or hidden Easter eggs and have already found several things that may be part of this patch.

The Queen of Pain boss

Judging by the lines of code, the main boss of the event will be Queen of Pain. Datamineers have even managed to detect the health bar of this boss, but there are no details on how exactly to fight him at the time of publication.

Event store

In the code, references to the so-called "Fallen Crown Confectionery" were found. It is likely to be a store where you can exchange candy for some items, as it was during Diretide.

New items

As with any major patch, after the release of Fallen Crowns, both individual themed items and a treasure trove are expected to appear. At the very least, there are mentions of sets for Crystal Maiden, Drow Ranger, and Oracle. The first two can be worn with Arcana. 

Even at the time of the update announcement, dataminers discovered new Vengeful Spirit and Skywrath Mage icons with Arcana items. There is no exact information about their release, but fans believe that it will take place along with the Fallen Crown update.

New Ringmaster hero and visual novel

Ringmaster was officially unveiled back in October 2023 at The International 2023. And it is with the Fallen Crown update that he is expected to appear in the game. All that is known about the Dota 2 novel is a mention in the code of one of the game's files. There is no information on how it will be implemented and why.

Earlier, on the night of February 9, Valve released the Dragon's Gift update, an update dedicated to the upcoming Chinese New Year, and the company also mentioned that the next major patch would be The Fallen Crown.
