paiN Gaming disbanded their roster — reasons and organization statement
paiN Gaming announced a temporary suspension of its Dota 2 division following an evaluation of the project’s current state. At the same time, the organization stated that a return to the professional scene in the future is not ruled out.
We conducted a thorough evaluation of the project as a whole and came to the conclusion that the time has come to conclude this stage — taking into account the requirements and the need to ensure the project’s sustainability at the highest competitive level.
The statement also clarifies that the split with the players and coaching staff was mutual, with the organization thanking all members for their professionalism and contribution.
It is also worth noting that paiN Gaming operates rosters in other disciplines, including Counter-Strike 2 and League of Legends.

The roster’s last major tournament was ESL One Birmingham 2026, where paiN Gaming finished in 11th–12th place. Earlier, at the end of March, the team became champions of CCT Season 2 Series 8.
