"I don’t even understand what they’re saying" — Oli on communication in Aurora Gaming

Aurora Gaming support Chan Oli Chun Kin shared his impressions of adapting to a team with Russian-speaking players. According to him, learning Russian has been challenging - he described it as a difficult language to understand and pronounce.

It’s not like Japanese or Korean - it’s just a new language. I don’t even understand what they’re saying. When they teach me, the words are very hard to pronounce. When Mira and TORONTOTOKYO talk, they speak Russian. When we communicate, it’s always in English.

The player also said he’s happy to join the team and appreciates the opportunity to play with new teammates:

This is our first time playing together. They’re great guys and teach me a lot. It’s a valuable experience for me. The pubs here are also better. I think joining a European team is a great opportunity.

Oli rejoined Aurora Gaming on October 8, replacing Nikita Panto Balaganin, who moved to Team Spirit. Previously, Oli was already part of Aurora after the organization signed the Talon Esports roster in 2023.
