Mag listed as coach in a new team for himself in CCT Season 2 Series 6
Former Avulus coach Andrey Mag Chipenko appeared in the Pipsqueak+4 roster for CCT Season 2 Series 6 as a coach. There have been no official announcements from the club or the players, and it's likely that Mag joined the team only for this event.
Chipenko spent about a year with Avulus. During this period, the team became the champion of RES Regional Champions, earning $100,000 in prize money, and also placed 5th at ESL One Bangkok 2024, losing to Team Spirit in the lower-bracket quarterfinals.
After these major achievements, Avulus' results began to decline: the team consistently finished at the bottom and earned modest prize money. A likely reason was the large number of roster changes, and two weeks ago the club disbanded the entire roster with the intention of rebuilding it from scratch.
Throughout his coaching career, Chipenko worked with BetBoom Team, Winstrike and B8, while his most notable achievement was a 13–16th place finish at The International 2019 with Natus Vincere, where the roster earned $515,000.
At the moment, Pipsqueak+4 have advanced to the second round of the group stage, where they will face Team Public tomorrow for a spot in the playoffs. Earlier, the team confidently defeated Team Spirit Academy 2:0. It’s also worth noting that Spirit Academy was formed in early November and consists entirely of players under 20 years old.
