“I’m a pro player now and can’t spend time thinking about the past” - fy on returning to the pro scene

Xtreme Gaming support Xu fy Linsen spoke in a post-match interview at DreamLeague Season 27 about returning to the professional scene after a long break and his attitude toward the past.

About his career break and returning to form, fy noted that he spent most of the previous year away from the competitive scene:

Last year I mostly stayed at home, resting and relaxing with my family. To get back into competitive mode, I played public matches. I kept my form by playing pubs, but I focused more on watching replays to align the meta of playing in the 4 position with my personal style.

Recall that Linsen took a break from the pro scene at the end of 2024 after ESL One Bangkok 2024, where, with Team Turtle, he failed to qualify for the tournament. His return was announced only on October 1, 2025, when Xtreme Gaming revealed their new roster, which included fy.

Also, fy is part of a legendary moment in Dota 2 history, which earned him the nickname “Firework God.” At The International 2018, he reached the grand final with LGD Gaming against OG Esports. The Chinese team lost 2:3, and during True Sight, fy sat in the booth with loud fireworks behind him and a “blank” stare.

Previously, the player often streamed together with Lu Somnus Yao and Yang Chalice Shenyi, who have since retired. fy noted that at the moment he is focused on his current career, although he remembers that time fondly.

I’m a professional player now, and I can’t spend much time or emotion thinking about the past. What matters is the future, and that’s what I’m focused on right now.

Currently, Xtreme Gaming is participating in DreamLeague Season 27 and has reached the playoff stage. Today, the team faces PARIVISION for a spot in the lower bracket final. Regardless of the outcome, the squad has already secured at least a top-4 finish in the tournament.

DreamLeague Season 27 runs from 10.12.2025 to 21.12.2025 with 24 teams participating. The prize pool is $1,000,000. You can follow the tournament in detail in our report.

Earlier, Cyberscore reported that Team Nemesis revealed a new roster.
