FISSURE Universe: Episode 5 is announced

Tournament operator FISSURE has announced the dates for the upcoming Dota 2 Championship. FISSURE Universe: Episode 5 with a prize pool of $250,000 will take place from 30.06.2025 to 03.07.2025, but the Play-In stage will start on May 12.

Ten invited teams will take part in the Play-in stage from May 12 to May 18. First, the participants will fight in two groups under the Round Robin system with best-of-2 matches. Six teams will qualify for the double-elimination playoffs: four teams will start from the upper bracket and two more from the lower bracket. Meetings there will be held to the best-of-3 format, while the lower bracket finals will be best-of-5.

In the main stage, the two Play-In winners will face off against eight teams that will receive direct invites. Ten participants will be divided into two groups, where they will compete in a round-robin system with best-of-2 matches. This time only the two group leaders will qualify for the upper bracket, while the second and third place rosters will be placed in the lower bracket and the rest will be eliminated.

Which teams will play in the Play-In stage and the main stage of FISSURE Universe: Episode 5 has not been announced. The last championship of the tournament operator was FISSURE Special, where Xtreme Gaming won.
