Fissure has canceled the open qualifiers for BetBoom Dacha 2024 for the MENA region

Due to lack of participants, Fissure canceled the first qualifiers for the MENA region. The open qualifiers for the tournament BetBoom Dacha 2024 from FISSURE were supposed to start on January 3, 2023. Two teams could have made it to the second round, where Team Falcons, Nigma Galaxy, PSG Quest and Winter Bear are already registered.

A similar thing has happened before during the qualifiers for the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 tournament. A day before the start of the closed qualifications no one applied, but later two teams registered: Woofer Fans and Riyadh Chefs, and they were given slots to the main qualification.

The community has already commented on the decision, Dota 2 caster Yernar Mantis Urazbayev said that the region is artificial and the level of players (besides Quest/Falcons and probably Nigma) is very weak. He also believes that the decision to create the region is forward-looking and the region is likely to become much stronger in 5-10 years.
