SumaiL, Arteezy and OG Legends: official Dota 2 rosters announced for Esports Nations Cup 2026
The organizers of Esports Nations Cup 2026 have unveiled the national team rosters, with one of the biggest surprises being the return of Artour Arteezy Babaev, who will represent Canada.
The former Evil Geniuses and Shopify Rebellion player has rarely appeared at major international tournaments in recent years, but will now have another opportunity to compete on the global stage.
Joining him on Team Canada are Tal Fly Aizik, David MoonMeander Tan, Jonathan Bryle Santos and The International 2015 champion Curtis Aui_2000 Ling, who is set to return to competitive play after spending recent years primarily in coaching roles.
The United States has also assembled a star-studded roster featuring Quinn Quinn Callahan, Jingjun Sneyking Wu and SumaiL SumaiL Hassan, who was born in Pakistan but opted to represent America at the championship, while his brother, Yawar YawaR Hassan, will compete for his country of birth.
Notably, the team includes both the youngest and the oldest The International champions in history. SumaiL won his first title in 2015 at the age of 16, while Sneyking became a The International 2025 champion at the age of 30.

China appears to be the main favorite of the tournament. The national team has brought together several players who have consistently competed at the highest level in recent years, including Wang Ame Chunyu, Lin Xxs Jing, Guo Xm Hongcheng, Hu fy Linsen and Zhao XinQ Zixing.
The participation of OG legends also deserves special attention. Four The International champions from different iterations of the iconic roster have been included in their national teams. Johan N0tail Sundstein will represent Denmark, Topias Topson Taavitsainen is part of Finland's roster, Sébastien Ceb Debs will play for France, while Anathan ana Pham will represent Australia. Topson, Ceb, and ana are all listed as substitute players.
The tournament will also feature Quinn's former teammates from the Gaimin Gladiators roster that won Riyadh Masters 2024. Melchior Seleri Hillenkamp will represent the Netherlands despite having retired, Erik tOfu Engel will play for Germany, and Marcus Ace Hoelgaard is part of Denmark's lineup.
It is also worth noting that players from Russia and Belarus were not allowed to participate in the tournament. As a result, many well-known players from the region will miss the event, including Magomed Collapse Khalilov, Danil gpk~ Skutin, Egor Nightfall Grigorenko, Yaroslav Miposhka Naydenov and others.
This also means that several players from organizations with Russian roots, including Team Spirit and PARIVISION, will not be represented at the tournament despite those teams featuring players from multiple countries.
