DreamLeague Season 29: full tournament schedule revealed

Tournament operator ESL announced that the DreamLeague Season 29 format is inspired by The International 2016. The championship will take place online from 13.05.2026 to 19.05.2026. A total of 16 teams will compete, divided into two groups of eight.

Teams will play a round-robin group stage in BO3 format. After the group stage, the two weakest teams from each group will be eliminated. In the main stage, four rosters will start in the lower bracket, while eight will begin in the upper bracket. All playoff matches will be played in BO3 format, with the grand final played as a BO5. The bracket format will remain unchanged: Double Elimination.

The qualification stages for DreamLeague Season 29 will run from 08.04.2026 to 14.04.2026. At the moment, the list of teams for the qualifiers and the main event is unknown. Direct invites will be issued based on the results of ESL One Birmingham 2026 on March 29, 2026. The prize pool of the tournament will be $1,000,000.

Details of the DreamLeague Division 2 seasons were also revealed:

DreamLeague Division 2 Season 3 will take place from 04.02.2026 to 12.02.2026. Eight teams will compete, and the winner will earn a direct slot to DreamLeague Season 29. The prize pool will be $50,000.

DreamLeague Division 2 Season 4 is scheduled for 19.04.2026–01.05.2026. The tournament will feature 16 teams. The first- and second-place finishers will also receive direct invites to the main event. The prize pool will be $50,000.

DreamLeague Season 27 is currently ongoing and is the final tournament of 2025. A total of 24 teams took part, with eight advancing to the main stage. The prize pool is $1,000,000. You can follow the tournament in detail in our report.
