The third chapter of Dark Carnival is now available in Dota 2
With the release of the third chapter of the Dark Carnival event, players gained access to the train's two final locations: “The Cauldron Car” and “The Engine Car”.
In addition, a new mini-game called "Automaton Attack" has been added, where players must type words from the world of Dota as quickly as possible.
To progress through the story and earn rewards, players must continue winning matches on specific heroes and collecting Carnival Tickets.
Rewards for completing “The Cauldron Car” location:
- 2 Discount Coins
- 12 Candy Sacks
- Treasure of Wonders
- 5 Carnival Souvenirs
- 2 Seer Stones.
Rewards for completing “The Engine Car” location:
- 3 Discount Coins
- 6 Candy Sacks
- 2 Carnival Souvenirs
- 1 Seer Stone
- Ringmaster Announcer
- Bully Mammoth set for Magnus
After completing the final train car, players will be shown a cutscene that concludes the first act and hints at a new in-game event, which will likely be added alongside the release of the second act of Dark Carnival.
Additionally, the trailer showcases the silhouettes of future Automatons: Tidehunter, Lich, Sven, Pugna, and Lifestealer. However, the release date for the continuation of the event is currently unknown.
Players are also awaiting the release of the Compendium for The International 2026, which begins on 13.08.2026. The second act of the event will likely be released alongside it.
