The best heroes at BLAST SLAM VIII have been determined: tier list
The Dota 2 statistics portal Spectral has released a hero tier list based on the results of the group stage of BLAST Slam VIII. Only Largo, Sven, Earth Spirit, and Brewmaster made it into the S tier.
None of the heroes in the top tier made it into the top 5 in terms of the number of picks at the tournament, but they were all banned quite frequently, which significantly increased their contest rate.
Their position in the rankings was also influenced by their high win rate in games where they were picked. And banning these heroes led to victory for the banning team even more often.
The most popular hero of the tournament — Bounty Hunter — was placed only in Tier C, as his ban win rate was less than 40%, even though he won all four games at the championship. However, the second and third most popular heroes — Enigma and Dark Willow — topped Tier A.
Hoodwink and Tiny also made it into Tier A with win rates below 50%, as their bans were among the most successful.
A number of heroes did not make it onto the tier list at all due to low statistical performance. These heroes were classified as “Not Meta”. Among them were Shadow Fiend, Undying, and Underlord, who were extremely strong in the previous patch.
