Outworld Destroyer – the best mid laner in 7.41f: hero win rate and current build

Outworld Destroyer became the most popular and statistically successful high-MMR mid laner in patch 7.41f. The hero’s win rate across nearly 9,000 matches was 53.6% in matchmaking at 7,000 MMR and above.

The hero was not affected by the latest update, but received buffs in several previous patches, and against the backdrop of nerfs to other current mid laners in 7.41f, he surged to the top of the current meta.

OD’s current win rate is the best it’s been in the past year and a half, and the hero’s contest rate in pubs is now around 60%. Additionally, Destroyer maintains a positive win rate even at lower MMR.

Furthermore, Outworld Destroyer has returned to the pro scene. Last season, the hero was ignored in many tournaments, but at the recent PGL Wallachia Season 9, OD appeared 18 times with a 50% win rate and was banned 34 times.

Popular builds for OD in both professional matches and matchmaking include Power Treads, Blink Dagger, Hurricane Pike, Parasma, Scythe of Vyse, and Yasha and Kaya. Items are combined based on the situation: for example, Blink Dagger and Hurricane Pike sometimes appear in the same build, or only one of them is chosen. The choice between Black King Bar and Linken’s Sphere also depends on the situation. In addition, players occasionally purchase Meteor Hammer, Hand of Midas, Shadow Blade, Manta Style, and Refresher Orb.

When leveling abilities, priority is given to Astral Imprisonment, followed by Arcane Orb, and Objurgation is last (the ability is taken once at level four and maxed out only after the first and second spells).
