“If I win my third Aegis among the first, I’ll think about retiring” — Collapse shared his future plans
Offlaner of Team Spirit, Magomed Collapse Khalilov, shared his thoughts on the future and the possibility of retirement. In a podcast on a YouTube channel, he admitted that he might consider ending his career if he wins a third Aegis of Champions, the title awarded to the winner of The International, the most prestigious Dota 2 tournament of the year.
If it’s the first third Aegis - if I win it among the first, then I think I’ll start considering retirement. But if I’m not the first player to lift a third Aegis, I’ll probably want to keep playing to become at least the first to lift it four times.
The player also talked about what he would do if he stepped away from the professional scene:
At first, I’d definitely quit Dota completely - I wouldn’t want to be an analyst or a coach. I’d just leave the community and focus on something outside the game: sports, hobbies, something for the soul. I have enough opportunities and resources to allow myself that. Then, if I still felt the urge to come back, maybe I’d return to Dota as a commentator, analyst, coach, or even play again.
Collapse has been competing on the professional scene since 2018. Throughout his career, he has won multiple Tier-1 tournaments, including The International 2021 and The International 2023, earning over $5,000,000 in prize money.
At The International 2025, Team Spirit failed to advance past the group stage and finished in 9–12th place. Notably, the team was eliminated by Team Falcons, who later became the champions of the tournament.
Currently, Team Spirit continues to compete at FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2. The team confidently passed the group stage without losing a single match and advanced to the upper bracket of the Playoffs.
In the next round, Spirit defeated Heroic, but later lost to BetBoom Team in the semifinals and dropped to the lower bracket. Tomorrow, they will face an elimination match against the winner of Tundra Esports and Team Falcons.
FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 runs from 23.10.2025 to 02.11.2025 in Belgrade, Serbia, featuring 16 teams competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool. You can follow the full coverage in the tournament report.
