BetBoom Team become champions of PGL Wallachia Season 8

In the grand final of PGL Wallachia Season 8, BetBoom Team confidently defeated Aurora Gaming with a 3:0 score, securing the championship title. For the victory, the team earned $300,000 from the prize pool, while their opponents received $175,000 for second place.

All three maps went quite smoothly for BB Team. On the first and second maps, Danil gpk~ Skutin played the meta Pangolier in the mid lane, a hero with which the team holds a 100% win rate at this tournament. Across both maps, he died only once.

On the third map, he played Puck and finished the game with just one death as well, becoming the MVP of the tournament.

It is worth noting that before the tournament, the community did not expect such a result. The team finished the event without a single loss, both in the group stage and the playoffs.

In a post-match interview, offlaner Matvey MieRo Vasyunin spoke about the team’s approach to drafting:

I am glad that my team trusts me and gives me the last pick. Thanks to our drafter, and I believe that at this tournament we drafted better than anyone else.

This victory became the first in the career of Ilya Kiritych Ulyanov on tier-1 tournament, and the next event for BB Team will be DreamLeague Season 29, which starts on May 13. The team qualified for the event through the closed qualifiers.
