Team Yandex coach Alexander Accell Litvinenko, during a live stream hosted by Alexei Solo Berezin, named Lifestealer as the best hero for the first position in the current meta.

According to Litvinenko, the hero is currently capable of holding his own even against direct counters such as Ursa or Terrorblade. Accell named Phantom Lancer as one of the few heroes capable of effectively countering Lifestealer, a hero who is also quite strong in the current patch.

He doesn’t really have any particularly bad match-ups. Incidentally, Phantom Lancer is better than Terrorblade. Phantom Lancer simply scales too well at the moment because of his stats, and he completely overpowers Lifestealer later on

At the current BLAST SLAM VIII, Lifestealer was picked six times and secured victory in four of those matches, whilst the hero was banned 15 times. At PGL Wallachia Season 9, Lifestealer was banned 52 times, and his win rate across 19 games played was 42.11%.

Lifestealer is also currently one of the most popular carries in matchmaking, but his win rate isn’t particularly impressive. Across more than 8,000 matches played at 7,000 MMR and above, the hero’s win rate stood at 49.6%. The best carry in Patch 7.41f in public matches was once again Phantom Lancer, with a win rate of 52.8% across 7,619 games.

Earlier, CyberScore presented a meta report and the biggest changes to win rates in patch 7.41f.
