Illidan has named the most underrated player in Dota 2

Ilya Illidan Pivtsaev considers Pavel 9pasha Khvastunov to be the most underrated player in Dota 2. The Team Spirit coach shared his thoughts in an interview published on the club’s YouTube channel.

According to Pivtsaev, the community underestimates 9pasha’s contribution to the “golden” roster of Virtus.pro. Illidan stated that Pavel worked hard to fit perfectly into the squad.

9pasha joined VP alongside Roman RAMZES666 Kushnarev, Vladimir No[o]ne Minenko, Ilya Lil Ilyuk, and Alexey Solo Berezin in August 2016.

Under the Virtus.pro tag, Khvastunov achieved the most significant milestones of his career, including victories at three ESL One tournaments, as well as championships at The Bucharest Major and The Kuala Lumpur Major. At The International, his best result was a top-six finish in 2017 and 2018.

9pasha stopped competing on the professional scene in 2022, but did not announce the definitive end of his career until March 2025. During his esports career, he earned over $1.7 million in prize money. Currently, Khvastunov streams and competes in media tournaments.

As CyberScore previously reported, RAMZES666 revealed his transfer fee from Virtus.pro to Evil Geniuses.
