Scorp
Scorp is a common nickname for Sand King among Russian-speaking Dota 2 players. It comes from the word “scorpion,” as Sand King’s design and animations resemble a scorpion. In original DotA, his name was Crixalis the Sand King, and players naturally shortened his identity to “Scorp” due to the visual similarity. The name has stuck since the early Warcraft III days and is still used widely.
