Patch
A patch is an official game update that changes the balance of heroes, items, the map, and other gameplay mechanics. In Dota 2, patches can include new heroes, major gameplay changes, or simply bug fixes and UI improvements. Each patch affects the meta, shifting popular heroes and strategies. Because of patches, teams constantly adapt and adjust their plans to the new conditions, keeping the game fresh and dynamic.
