Macro control
Macro control in Dota 2 refers to managing the game on a strategic and global level. This includes rune control, securing key areas of the map, distributing heroes across lanes, planning movements, timing neutral creeps and Roshan, as well as organizing team fights, deciding when to push enemy structures, or claiming map control. Strong macro control allows a team to dictate the pace of the game and make optimal use of resources to secure victory.
