Calibration
Calibration is the process through which a player's current competitive ranking is determined. In Dota 2, calibration takes place after a series of matches, and its results depend on the player's individual performance, team victories, and other metrics.
With the release of the "New Frontiers" update, the traditional calibration system was removed from Dota 2. Initially, all players were required to go through a "short calibration" based on their previous rank, similar to the start of a new season. Calibration continues until the "confidence" in the rating reaches 30%.
