How to complete all mini-games in Crownfall Act 4
For Act 4 of Crownfall, the developers have created several mini-games that are analogs of other cult games. To get all the rewards of the event - you need to complete them. On how to do this, you can learn in our guide.
Act 4 differs in its structure from the previous ones. It is divided into 3 branches - one for each of the main characters - Kez, Dragonus (Skywrath Mage) and Shen (Vengeful Spirit). When you get all the unique tokens needed to complete the three branches (the Castle Carnage token in the Castle Carnage mini-game, Spleen in Spleen Sweeper, Spoon in Spoon Man, and the Kez token at the final point of the right branch) the heroes will meet on the center branch at the gate and head to the final battle with the Imperia, but more on that later.
Castle Carnage main features and walkthrough tips:
Castle Carnage is the closest mini-game to the start of the central branch, where as Snapfire you need to destroy all enemies. It's similar to the Worms series of games, and a bit like Angry Birds. Castle Carnage has 9 levels (a detailed guide on how to complete all levels can be found here). To get the unique mini-game token needed to pass the central branch, you just need to collect 9 stars, that is, pass each level for 1 star or several levels for 2-3 stars. By earning more stars, you can get a profile decoration and random additional hero tokens for passing the act.
- To get as many points as possible, you need to spend a minimum of shells and do everything as fast as possible (1 star is given for killing all enemies, to get 2 you need to get 1200 points, and for 3 - 1500).
- Remember that the fortifications where enemies are located can be destroyed, including their foundation (you can use this to your advantage).
- If the projectile bounces back to Snapfire, the hero will explode and you will have to start the level over.
- The yellow indicator on the scale shows the power of your previous shot, which helps to adjust the power of subsequent launches. When you restart the level, the indicator remains and the scope does not change its position. This will be useful if you are trying to pass the level by 2-3 stars (after a failed first shot, you can restart the game and adjust the next shot relative to the previous one)
Spleen Sweeper main features and walkthrough tips:
Spleen Sweeper - Classic Minesweeper. You'll find this mini-game near the end of the right branch. You only need to complete the first stage to get a unique token. By scoring more points, you will also get a profile decoration and random additional hero tokens for passing the act.
- The number in a box represents the number of mines around it.
- The difficulty is time-limited, but it is possible to clear the area without risk of getting blown up by using the Echo Slash ability, which consumes mana.
- Mana and extra time will sometimes appear in some box. But be careful, boosts often appear on mined boxes. If the booster appears on a mined box, right click on it and it will move to another cell and you can pick it up (if the area is safe).
- Toward the end of the level, the counter of remaining mined boxes, which is located in the upper right corner, will be useful. It will help you determine the position of mined boxes based on the remaining number of mines.
Spoon Man's main features and walkthrough tips:
Spoon Man - analog of Bomber Man. It is located at the end of the left branch. Relatively not difficult mini-game, but it requires patience and attention. To get a unique token that will open the way to the final event, you need to pass three stages. Extra points will also unlock the profile decorations and random additional hero tokens for passing the act.
- To progress to the next stage, you must kill all enemies.
- After clearing the level from mobs, cells with bonuses will be highlighted, one of which will be the passage to the next stage. Collecting all the bonuses is not necessary and, sometimes, not even desirable (if you too strengthen the radius of the explosion, but will have a low movement speed, you risk not having time to move to a safe place after the mined cell)
- If you hit a cell that has a passageway to the next stage with an explosion, an enemy will come out of it.
- Enemies will run away from mined cells. In order to deal with them, you need to drive them into a dead end and mine the exit (as shown on the screenshot).
Nest of Thorns main features and walkthrough tips:
Nest of Thorns is the final event, the analog of Vampire Survivors. It is located at the end of the central branch, behind the gate. It has 7 difficulty levels, for passing each of which you will get a unique reward (passing the first difficulty level will earn you a unique token, which will open the way to the final point with the act's rewards).
To start, you need to choose a hero, it can be Dragonus (Skywrath Mage), Shen (Vengeful Spirit) or Kez. Each hero has its own starting ability, but the skills of other characters you can also get during the game. The main feature of the heroes is their innate abilities. Dragonus has less health, but releases an extra projectile from skills, which is useful for magic builds. Shen reduces enemies' resistance to physical damage while dealing magic damage, which is effective for hybrid builds. Kez has increased movement speed and periodically casts a debuff on the closest strongest enemies that will make the next attack critical on them - a great boost for a physical build.
Also in the event there is a character upgrade system (unified for all 3 heroes). Improvements require hero tokens (the same ones used to pass the event) and gold, which you get during the event.
From the start of the game, you have 12 minutes to maximize your strength before facing the Imperia: collect the necessary abilities and items (effective builds are described here).
On the 3rd, 6th and 9th minute, a mini-boss will appear on the map, and for killing it you will receive an Aghanim upgrade for your skills (guide on mini-bosses and final boss can be found here).
How to simplify the passage of Nest of Thorns:
- In the first few minutes, you should focus on the number of abilities rather than their strength (i.e. you should first gain as many abilities as possible, and then improve them).
- In addition to mini-bosses, roshans spawn on the map. When you kill them, items drops from them (if you have collected the maximum number of items, roshans will start bringing you skill upgrades).
- When passing the event on low difficulty levels, you can play greedy and take the ability Track, which will bring you extra gold for killing mobs, which will speed up the upgrade of characters. Track will also allow you to get 2 items from Roshans at once (with Aghanim), so it will be useful on high difficulty levels as well. but only if your character upgrades is strong enough and you can afford to spend one skill point on Track.
- Items can also be found at points marked on the minimap. There will also be shown the location of Magnet - a temporary buff, under the effect of which you will magnetize all the experience shards and gold scattered on the map from the killed mobs . In addition, you can find Cheese, which restores some health.
- Try not to enter the narrow passages, there you risk being surrounded by two waves from both sides and you can die if your abilities are not strong enough.
- Aegis can be obtained not only by buying character upgrades for tokens and gold, but also in the game itself. To do this, you need to take out Aghanim's Scepter for the Annihilation ability.
- If you take Snooty The Bat ability, there will be a Batrider flying around that applies this skill, it also collects items like your character.
- Some of the items in the mini-game are combinable, just like in Dota 2. From Reaver and Ring of Tarrasque, you can assemble Heart of Tarrasque. From Demon Edge and Crystalys - Daedalus and so on (to assemble a stronger item you must have two of its components pumped to the maximum third level. For example, if you have a level 3 Kaya and a level 3 Yasha in your inventory, the next time you pick an item you will be prompted to combine them).
- Increasing the skill of an ability will reset its cooldown. This can help in combat if you have powerful skills with long cooldowns like Stampede or Annihilation.
After completing the event, you will receive a Juggernaut set, an Act 4 trophy, a showcase decoration, and Arcana item styles for Skywrath Mage and Vengeful Spirit.
If you have fully completed all 4 acts of Crownfall, including the paths from the Pathfinder Pack, you can get additional rewards at a place called The Commodores Club, which is on the right branch of the act.
The main conclusion
Act 4 of Crownfall includes several mini-games with unique mechanics, such as Castle Carnage, Spleen Sweeper, Spoon Man, and Nest of Thorns. To earn rewards, you need to complete all the mini-games, collect tokens, and finish the three branches for different characters. This will unlock the final battle with the Empire and provide decorations, hero tokens, and unique items.
