According to Steam Charts, the average Dota 2 player count in March dropped by almost 7%. This is a record decline over the past two years.
Peak player count also decreased — from 708,000 to 656,000 players. Recall that the highest peak in Dota 2 history (nearly 1.3 million players) was recorded in March 2016.

A significant influx of players in 2024 was observed only twice: in May, after the release of the Crownfall event, and in November, with the release of Act 4 of the event and a new hero — Kez.
As CyberScore previously reported, Valve has extended the archived version of Crownfall until June 1.
