TSM (full name Team SoloMid) is an American esports organization founded in 2009. The club is one of North America’s most recognizable brands and competes in a variety of disciplines, including League of Legends, Valorant, and Counter-Strike.

The organization entered the Dota 2 scene in January 2022 by signing the Team Undying roster. The debut roster included Enzo Timado Gianoli O’Connor, Jonathan Bryle Santos De Guia, Jonas SabeRLight-Volek, David MoonMeander Tan, and Kim DuBu Do-yang.

Since its inception, the team has earned nearly $900,000 in prize money and has become one of the leading forces on the North American scene.

2022

The first season was the most successful in the organization’s history in Dota 2. The team performed strongly in North America and won the DPC regional final.

In the spring, the team sensationally reached the grand final of ESL One Stockholm Major 2022. On their way to the decisive match, TSM defeated a number of top-tier teams, but lost to OG in the final and finished in second place.

Later, the team also competed in the PGL Arlington Major 2022 and The International 2022, but was unable to replicate its spring success.

After the season ended, DuBu left the organization, and MoonMeander retired as a player and took on the role of the team’s head coach.

2023

Before the start of the new season, management signed support players Matthew Ari Walker and Matthew Whitemon Filmon.

Despite high expectations, the team’s results gradually declined.TSM remained one of the strongest teams in North America, winning the region’s first two DPC tours of the season, but they were unable to achieve significant success at international tournaments.

During the season, SabeRLight left the team and was replaced by Ilyas kasane Gainullin. However, these changes did not help the team return to its 2022 form.

In the fall of 2023, the team took second place at BetBoom Dacha 2023, which was the team’s biggest achievement of the season. Toward the end of the year, the roster successfully qualified for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, but the organization decided to withdraw from the event, disband the roster, and exit the Dota 2 scene.

Despite its short existence, TSM left a lasting impression on fans thanks to its run to the grand final of ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 and its successful performances on the North American scene.
