EHOME is a Chinese esports organization founded in 2004. The club’s first DotA roster was signed in 2007. EHOME’s “golden age” took place almost entirely during the era of the classic version of Dota on the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne engine, but with the arrival of Dota 2, the situation changed completely.

2011–2012

In Dota 2, the club made a big splash by reaching the finals of The International 2011. However, at the very next The International 2012, the team was unable to repeat its previous success, finishing in 5th–6th place. The team also failed to achieve significant results in mid-season tournaments. Due to unsatisfactory performances and internal disagreements, the roster was disbanded, and the organization stepped away from the discipline for two years.

2015–2018

In 2015, EHOME returned to the world stage. In the first half of the year, the team’s results were average. Later, Yang NeverEnd Pu and Leng ddc Fat-Meng were joined by Chen Cty Tianyu, Bai rOtK Fan, and Zhang LaNm Zhicheng. The team finished in 5th–6th place at The International 2015 and reached the top 4 at The Frankfurt Major 2015 in the fall, but by then the team—along with Cty and LaNm—was already represented by Wang old chicken Zhiyun, Ren old eLeVeN Yangwei, and Hu Kaka Liangzhi.

The start of 2016 brought the club the championship title at the MarsTV Dota 2 League 2015 Winter. However, at The International 2016, the roster once again finished in 5th–6th place. This result did not satisfy the ambitious management, which led to major shakeups: key players left the team, and the organization itself gradually began to lose its status as a leader, shifting to Tier 2 tournaments.

The next two years were a crisis period for the organization. Attempts to build a competitive roster around young players failed to yield results on the international stage. The team completely missed key tournaments over two seasons, failing to qualify for either The International 2017 or The International 2018, a period marked by constant roster changes.

2019–2020

A new resurgence began in 2019, when a revamped roster led by The International 2016 champions Zhang Faith_bian Ruida and Zhang y` Yiping won The Bucharest Minor and finished in the top 6 at The Chongqing Major. Despite these local successes, the team still failed to qualify for TI9.

In 2020, during the era of online tournaments due to the pandemic, the roster featuring Song Sccc Chun and Cheng NothingToSay Jin Xiang claimed victories at DPL-CDA Professional League Season 1 and Season 2.

However, in September of that same year, as a result of a major roster shakeup, the team’s core (Faith_bian, y`, XinQ, NothingToSay) moved to PSG.LGD, forcing EHOME to rebuild its roster from scratch.

2021–2023

Rebuilding a competitive five-man roster proved difficult. In 2021, the team finished as runner-up twice in the domestic i-League Season 1 and Season 2, but a loss just one step away from securing a slot at The International 2021 led to yet another roster dissolution. EHOME spent the entire year of 2022 as an underdog in China’s top division, fighting for survival.

In early 2023, the revamped roster unexpectedly finished 4th in the Chinese DPC Winter Tour, earning a spot at the Lima Major 2023. However, at the Major itself, the team completely collapsed, finishing in last place (17th–18th) without winning a single series in the group stage.

A scandal in March brought the team’s story to a close: Valve and tournament operator Perfect World permanently banned all members of the current EHOME roster from their competitions for participating in fixed matches and fraud. The organization was disqualified from the DPC league, after which the club officially announced the closure of its Dota 2 division.
