Denmark is one of the most successful countries in the history of professional Dota 2.

Danish players have repeatedly won major club tournaments, including The International, and the national team has regularly participated in international competitions among national teams.

2007-2009

The team’s first international tournament was MYM Prime Nations 1 in 2007.

The debut roster included most of the players from the Meet Your Makers team, who later competed in the first tournament of The International series in 2011.

The team reached the grand final, where they lost to Russia and won silver medals. Two years later, Denmark also competed in the 2009 European Nations Championship, finishing among the top six teams.

2016-2024

After a long hiatus, the national team competed in the finals of the 2016 World Electronic Sports Games Europe & CIS, but failed to qualify to the main event.

After that, the team once again disappeared from the international scene for a long time, not participating in major tournaments or qualifiers.

In 2023 and 2024, the national team attempted to qualify for the IESF World Esports Championship, assembling a roster of little-known players from the country.

2026

In early 2026, organisers from Saudi Arabia announced the Esports Nations Cup, an international championship with a prize fund of $1,500,000, for which Denmark submitted an application.

Ivan Ivz Stubgaard was appointed head coach and entrusted with putting together the national team.

The final squad comprised Markus Ace Høeggaard, Johan N0tail Sundstein, Rasmus MiSeRy Flipsen, 1striker and Aske Cy- Larsen, who had previously represented the national team.

Andreas Cr1t- Frank Nielsen was named as the reserve player.

Despite the fact that several players had already retired from professional competition, the team finished 8th in the national rankings and received a direct invitation to the tournament.
