CDEC Gaming is a Chinese esports organization founded in October 2014. The club's history began a few months earlier with the creation of a youth team called LGD.CDEC, formed by LGD Gaming to develop promising players. The name CDEC stands for Chinese Dota Elite Community.

The first independent lineup included Lu Somnus Yao, Wang 333 Yutian, Liu garder Xinzhou, Fu Q Bin, Sun Agressif Zheng, and Tong mikasa Junjie, who combined coaching duties with a substitute player role.

2014-2015

The first full season became the most successful in the organization's history.

However, in early 2015 Maybe and mikasa left the team to join the main LGD Gaming roster. Their places were taken by Huang Shiki Jiwei and Cheng Xz Zhechi.

It was this lineup that became the breakout story of the professional scene. On the way to The International 2015, the team went through the Chinese qualifier and then the Wild Card stage to earn a spot in the main event.

At the championship CDEC pulled off upset after upset and reached the grand final, where they fell to Evil Geniuses 1-3. The second-place finish at The International 2015 earned the squad more than $2,800,000 in prize money and stands as the organization's greatest achievement.

2016-2020

After the TI5 success the team gradually lost its key players and the organization entered a prolonged downturn.

First, Shiki and Xz departed for the youth lineup CDEC.Youth. Shortly after, garder signed with EHOME, after which the management introduced a completely new roster.

The new signings were Su Flyby Lei, Gao Setsu Zhenxiong, Lin Son Goku Shiyang, Hu September Zhihuan, and Xiao RAI Zhou.

However, the rebuilt roster was unable to repeat the success of 2015. The team continued to play regional events and qualifiers, but could no longer reach the biggest international championships.

Over several years the organization repeatedly reshuffled its lineup. At various points CDEC featured He Inflame Yongzheng, Su Super Peng, Guo Xm Hongcheng, Wang Ame Chunyu, and other well-known representatives of the Chinese scene.

The organization also actively developed its youth branch, creating the additional CDEC Avenger squad as a platform for developing promising players.

Over time, the club's main focus shifted to developing young talent, much of which later went on to build careers at more prominent Chinese organizations.

2021-2022

In its final years the organization almost completely overhauled its roster, bringing in Hu once Xin, Shu EchoZz Ziliang, Xiang Beyond Zhenghong, Zhao Yds Jiayi, and Chen Outside Guanhong.

Despite another rebuild the team could not recapture its former competitiveness. One of the organization's last achievements was winning the third tour of Division II of the Chinese DPC league in the 2021/2022 season, which gave the squad a chance to fight for a slot at PGL Arlington Major 2022.

However, at the end of 2022 the current roster and slot were transferred to Dawn Gaming.

With a new lineup led by Li Undyne Qiancheng the club tried to qualify for The International 2022, but after failing to do so the organization decided to disband the roster and leave Dota 2.
