Despite its relatively small professional scene, Bulgaria has regularly participated in international competitions under the auspices of the IESF.

In recent years, several well-known European players have passed through the national team, including Bozhidar bzm Bogdanov and Ivan MinD_ContRoL Ivanov.

2009

The national team’s first international tournament was the European Nations Championship 2009, where the country was represented by players from the local scene.

The team performed well and finished in the top three, gaining its first experience competing internationally.

2022–2024

After a long hiatus, Bulgaria competed in the IESF World Esports Championship 2022, finishing ninth out of 29 participants.

The national team’s starting five consisted of Stoyan lil pleb Kostov, Bozhidar bzm Bogdanov, Ivan MinD_ContRoL Ivanov, Simeon FAILETZ Stankov, and Ivaylo Mastermind Petkov.

This same roster, with the exception of Mastermind, who was replaced by Evidence, represented the country at the IESF World Esports Championship 2024.

The team’s best result during that period was a top-7 finish at the IESF World Esports Championship 2023.

2025–2026

The national team’s roster remained virtually unchanged, and most players were regularly selected for the national squad.

In 2025, Bulgarian carry Nikolay Nikobaby Nikolov helped the team qualify for the European Esports Championship 2025.

However, at the championship itself, he was replaced by lil pleb, and the team finished in the top 8 of the tournament.

In early 2026, organizers from Saudi Arabia announced a major international tournament, the Esports Nations Cup, with a prize pool of $1,500,000.

The national team roster included bzm, Nikobaby, Mastermind, FAILETZ and Muha. The substitute players were Evidence and Nikolay CTOMAHEH1 Kalchev.

Thanks to bzm’s successful performances on the Tier 1 scene, Bulgaria was among the countries that received a direct invitation to the tournament, bypassing the qualifying stage.
