History

Midas Club - a Brazilian esports organization.

The first roster was presented in 2016, consisting of former Keyd Stars players and a newcomer Sooths, replacing Lolingblue. The team quickly made a name for itself, finishing 3rd at the WCA2016 AM Qualifiers. In April 2017, Midas Club achieved another significant success, taking 2nd place at the Brasil Game Cup in Rio. However, a series of poor performances and failures in qualifying for major tournaments led to frequent changes in the team's roster.

The lineup, consisting of FuckinEh, Liposa, Bardo and Thiolicor, managed to place 7-8th at The Final Match Season 1, but soon the players left the team and joined SG e-Sports. Then Midas Club formed a new roster for Captains Draft 4.0, which included players like hFn, Mandy, tavo, Kingrd and Duster. This team won the Brasil Game Cup 2017. However, soon they also left Midas Club and joined paiN Gaming.

By 2018, Midas Club assembled another Brazilian roster that didn't qualify for any tournaments that season, including the South American qualifier for The International 2018. The only highlight was 3rd place at the ESL Brazil Premier League. 2019 became the lowest point in the team's history: on May 15th, a new roster was presented, which was disbanded the very next day.

The last roster of Midas Club was formed in April 2020 from FURIA Esports players, including RdO-, Murdoc, Sexyfat, Hyko and Duster. Demonstrating the most stable performance in the team's history, they placed 5-6th at Realms Collide and 7-8th at BTS Pro Series Season 2: Americas, OGA Dota PIT S2: Americas and The Great American Rivalry Division 1 Season 1, earning a total of over $3,600 in just two months. In August of the same year, these players moved to Havan Liberty, but by October, the roster returned under the Midas Club banner. At the beginning of the next year, RdO, Sexyfat, Duster, and coach Astini left the team, after which the club went inactive for 3 years.

In February 2024, Midas Club returned to the Dota 2 pro scene with a new roster, including Costabile, 4dr, fcr, hyko and wij. With this roster, the team participated in qualifiers for Elite League 2024, DreamLeague Season 23 and PGL Wallachia Season 1. Midas Club consistently stopped just short of securing a tournament invitation, for example, finishing 3rd in the qualifiers for the LAN in Romania. In between qualifiers, Midas Club participated in various tournaments, such as the RES Regional Series: LATAM #2, where they placed 5-6th.
