History

Monte is an organization from Ukraine that began its existence in 2022. It was previously represented only in CS:GO and CS2, but in November 2023 it got a Dota 2 roster.

The initiator of the creation of the Monte organization was a sniper of their CS2 squad - Volodymyr Woro2k Veletniuk. The Monte tag was taken in honor of the town of Monastyrishche, in Cherkassy region. It was there that Woro2k was born and grew up, where he found a like-minded friend in the person of Dmitry Vovk, who is now the CEO of the club. Over time, it managed to find investors and reach a decent level.

  • On November 30, Monte signed Team Team and tried to qualify for ESL One: Kuala Lumpur 2023, and also played at the European Pro League 15. At none of the events the team did not achieve significant results.

In the first half of 2024, the team participated in the qualifications for DreamLeague Season 22, ESL One Birmingham 2024, DreamLeague Season 23 and PGL Wallachia Season 1,, but their attempts to qualify for a major event were unsuccessful. Monte has also played in several European Pro League seasons, winning one of them (European Pro League 17 : Division 2), as well as finishing in 4th place at RES Regional Series: EU #1.

  • May 25, 2024 - Monte signed Vladik The Htiviy, who replaced Infernal in the third position.

Closer to summer, the team tried to qualify for Elite League Season 2 without success. Monte also failed to qualify for the two most important tournaments of the year - Riyadh Masters 2024 and The International 2024. And later, finished ninth at the CyberScore.live Cup. In addition to that, also worth mentioning is the attempt to qualify for PGL Wallachia Season 2, as they didn't give up after losing in the first open qualifier.

In August, Monte participated in the European Pro League 19: Division 1, where they placed 6th. This was the last tournament for the then-current roster: on August 30, 2024, the organization decided to disband the roster and take a break from Dota 2.
