Universitario Esports is a Peruvian esports organization.
The club was founded in 2021, but it entered the Dota 2 pro scene only in the spring of 2023. The debut roster included players from Peru, Brazil, and Bolivia, such as James-, Rena, RdO-, Austin, and Lissex. The team's first challenge was 1XPLORE LATAM 3, where they secured third place.
Subsequently, the roster competed in the DPC SA 2023 Tour 3:CQ, finishing second and advancing to the third round of the lower division of the DPC ratings league. Later, Universitario participated in DPC SA 2023 Tour 2: Division II, alongside teams like x5Gaming, noMERCY and others from South America. Additionally, Universitario Esports took part in LATAM Rookie Challenge 6, where they also secured third place, and also tried to qualify for The International 2023 and ESL One Kuala Lumpur.
The year 2024 started for the team with EPL WS: America. S9, at which the guys finished in fifth place. Later Universitario Esports participated in the qualifiers for Elite League 2024 and DreamLeague Season 23, but the team failed to get further than the open stage.
- May 5, 2024 - Benny, Leostyle, drakesh1t, Kiri and Shaka joined the new roster of Universitario Esports.
However, the updated roster did not exist for long. At the qualification for Elite League Season 2 the team had a completely different roster. The Peruvian team also failed to qualify for the Riyadh Masters 2024 and The International 2024.
