History

Infamous Gaming is a Dota 2 eSports organization founded in December 2015. It was the first Peruvian team to qualify for The International.

Infamous Gaming's first roster looked like this - Kotarō Hayama, Atun, Greedy, Accel and Ztok. In the team's debut year of 2016, it established itself as a solid dash-3 team. A major accomplishment for Infamous Gaming this year was winning the American qualifiers for the 2016 World Electronic Sports Games.

In 2017, the first tournament for Infamous Gaming was the World Electronic Sports Games 2016. The collective was able to surprise many by finishing fourth in the tournament, earning $60,000. Prior to the main tournament of the year, the team from Peru was only able to distinguish itself with a 7th-8th place finish at Galaxy Battles. At the closed qualifications for the World Championships, Infamous Gaming was able to emerge victorious. At The International 2017, the Latin team took the penultimate place and earned $123,400.

In the 2017-2018 season, the team's main achievements were 7th-8th place at DreamLeague Season 8 and Galaxy Battles II: Emerging Worlds, as well as winning the American qualifiers for World Cyber Arena 2017. At The International 2018, Infamous Gaming made its way through open and closed qualifications, but was stopped in the group stage.

In the new season, the team from South America was able to qualify for 3 tournaments from Valve - Dreamleague Season 10, DreamLeague Season 11, and EPICENTER Major 2019, where they placed 4th, 9th-12th, and 13th-16th respectively. This allowed Infamous Gaming to immediately play closed qualifications for the World Championship, which it successfully passed. At The International 2019, the team sensationally reached 7th-8th place, earning $858,000.

After the incredible success at the main tournament of the year, the Peruvian organization was waiting for one of the most difficult seasons - 2019-2020. As early as March 2020, the "online era" would begin, in which South and North America were combined into one region, hitting Latin teams very hard. For all of 2020, Infamous Gaming will be able to earn bronze at BTS Pro Series Season 3: Americas and DOTA Summit Online 13: Americas, as well as silver at Realms Collide: The Burning Darkness.

In the new DPC season, the Peruvian team has little chance of making it to ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021, but they will not be relegated to the OGA DPC South America Regional League Season 1: Lower Division either, having secured themselves in the middle of the OGA DPC South America Regional League Season 1: Upper Division table.
