Ilya squad1x Kuvaldin is a Russian professional Dota 2 player who plays in the second position. His favorite heroes are Invoker, Ember Spirit and Lina.

squad1x started his cybersport career in 2021, taking part in various CIS stacks at dash-2 and dash-3 tournaments. At the beginning of his career Ilya represented such tags as HF, Trident Clan, NOVA, Excellent Esports and others. In 2022, he played as a reserve player in AS Monaco Gambit and then joined Team Empire for the second position. However, after some time, the team was disbanded due to unsatisfactory results. Despite this, Ilya stood out for his individual play on the center line, outperforming almost all of his opponents in terms of skill and performance

From July to November 2022, squad1x played for teams such as One Move, Pari Parni and Wayfarers. Soon, the cybersports organization Virtus.pro announced a new Dota 2 roster, which includes the following players: Kamil Koma` Biktimirov, Ilya squad1x Kuvaldin, Eugene Noticed Ignatenko, Oleg sayuw Kalenbet and Andrey Dukalis Kuropatkin. The new Virtus.pro team immediately took part in Dota 2 Champions League Season 17, where they took 5th-6th place, losing to Monaspa team with the score 1:2 and earning $2,500.

In 2023 Ilya continued playing with VP. With them he participated in The International 2023, where he took 7th-8th place.

In the spring of 2024 squad1x with Virtus.pro managed to qualify for tournaments such as BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague Season 22, Elite League 2024 and PGL Wallachia Season 1. In the summer of the same year, the team placed 8th at FISSURE Universe Ep.2, 5th at 1win Series Summer and 17th at Riyadh Masters 2024, and failed to qualify for The International 2024.

While remaining a Virtus.pro player, Ilya often played as a stand-in for various teams. In addition to 10th place at the Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational, which squad1x took with VP, the player finished in last place at FISSURE Universe Ep.3 with Yellow Submarine and finished in the top 5 at the 1win Series Dota 2 Fall as a roster member of 1win Team.

• March 29, 2025 — Vitrus.pro listed squad1x for transfer.

In early April, at the FISSURE Special tournament, he helped Virtus.pro in the first few matches by standing in for lorenof in the midlane.

On May 30, squad1x joined the 1WIN Team.

In October, 1win participated in FISSURE Universe: Episode 7, where they lost in the lower bracket quarterfinals of the playoffs and left the tournament.

In March, 1Win Team placed 5-6 at DreamLeague Season 3 Division 2, and later finished 2 at CCT Season 2 Series 8, losing to paiN Gaming 0:3.

Two months later, the team received an invitation to DreamLeague Division 2 Season 4, where they came close to qualifying for the main tournament. Shortly after that, the roster competed at the “home” online tournament 1W ESSENCE I, finishing in 2nd place.

Notably, in the first round of the playoffs, 1win Team defeated one of the tournament favorites Tundra Esports.
