Bio

Armel Paul Tabios, also known as Armel, is a professional Dota 2 player from the Philippines who plays in the mid position. His signature heroes are Outworld Destroyer, Templar Assassin, and Invoker.

In 2016, Armel joined the Philippine mix team Acion Arena, which marked the beginning of his professional career as a young mid player. He spent over a year in this team and was able to take second place in the Mineski Pro-Gaming League Season 8 Championship. Armel first appeared on the global scene in 2017, playing for Clutch Gamers. The player was able to participate in The Manila Masters, EPICENTER 2017, and Mars Dota 2 League 2017, but he was not able to take any prizes.

In January 2018, Armel joined the TNC Predator team, where he spent nearly three years of his career. He participated in the two main tournaments of the year: The International 2018, where he took 13-16th place, and The International 2019, where he took 9-12th place. He also became the winner of the World Electronic Sports Games 2018 and the MDL Chengdu Major.

With the advent of the new DPC system in early 2021, Armel and TNC Predator became one of the best teams in Southeast Asia. The team managed to qualify for WePlay AniMajor, where they finished in 7-8th place. However, Armel failed to qualify for The International 2021 - he fell short of passing through the qualifiers, losing to Fnatic in the final match. This result was the reason that the Filipino player took a two-month inactive break.

In November 2021, Fnatic signed Armel to its main lineup. The player has already participated in GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai 2022 and ESL One Stockholm 2022, but he was unable to reach the PGL Dota 2 Major Arlington 2022 due to visa issues in the United States. He played at Fnatic until February 10, 2023, and then moved to Team Secret.

Together with Team Secret, Armel played two DPC seasons, took 11-12th place at DreamLeague Season 20 and 9-12th place at Riyadh Masters 2023. The final championship was the qualification for The International 12, where Armel, along with Team Secret, failed to qualify, finishing in 4th place. After this result, Armel joins the roster of ex-Talon Esports, where he replaced Mikoto. Later, Armel became a player of Aurora Gaming.

In February 2025, Armel joined Kukuys but quickly moved to BOOM Esports, where he played as a stand-in. Together with the new team, he took part in FISSURE Universe Ep.4, finishing in 11th place. By the end of April, Armel had officially joined BOOM Esports. At DreamLeague Season 26, the roster finished in 13th place.

In 2025, the team qualified for The International 2025 but couldn’t reach the playoffs and finished the tournament in 15th place.
