Player AfterLife from Dota 2
Information
Bio
Vasily AfterLife Shishkin (also known as Old_AkyJlbi4 or Retrogade) is a Russian cybersports player who plays Dota 2 professionally as an offliner. Over the years, he has been a member of well-known CIS teams including Team Empire, Gambit Esports and Winstrike Team.
AfterLife's career started back in 2013, so despite his age, Vasily is already a very experienced player. He brought the first $1k in prize money to his team DreamTeam168, where Nofear and PGG also played, at Techlabs Cup 2014 Season 2. Then he was a member of Album Sheets and .aSpera., where he participated in smaller tournaments and even won Uprise Champions Cup Season 3. Vasily came to fame after his impressive play for CIS Rejects (later Team Spirit), which brought victories at PGL Dota 2 Pro-AM and qualifications of major tournaments, as well as his first experience at The Shanghai Major 2016.
AfterLife also confirmed his high level of play in Team Empire, taking the 9-12 line of The Manila Major 2016, but after the failure at the qualifications of The International 2016, he left the team. By the way, Vasily has no luck with this tournament: despite impressive results at the dash-1 championships, he has never played at the main event of the year. Even during the "golden era" of Gambit Esports, when its players won WePlay Winter Madness and WePlay! Dota 2 Valentine Madness, took silver at The Bucharest Minor, ESL One Katowice 2019 and StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 1, as well as playing well at other important competitions, The International 2019 qualifications proved to be a long shot and led to the collapse of such a successful team.
After leaving Gambit Esports AfterLife played for Winstrike Team and was a stand-in for Team Unique and HellRaisers, but these teams did not have high success. During 2.5 months of playing in Team Spirit Vasily added more than $30 thousand to the club's purse, reaching the 5th-6th place in ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Online, the 4th place in Epic Prime League Season 1 and playing on WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1 and OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: EU/CIS. He is now playing for One Move and will once again try to snatch a trip to The International.
