Ivan MinD_ContRoL Ivanov - is a Bulgarian Dota 2 eSports player currently representing Nigma Galaxy, and he became the champion of The International in 2017. He has earned over $4.5 million in prize money throughout his career. Signature heroes are considered to be: Dark Seer, Nature's Prophet, Beastmaster.
Ivan kicked off his career in 2014 playing for various tier-2 and tier-3 teams. In the following year, Kuroky invited him to join his new team, 5jungz. After winning the Alienware Summer's End Cup, the team was signed to Team Liquid.
Although they missed The Frankfurt Major, MinD_ContRoL and company qualified for The Shanghai Major 2016, where they made it to the finals but lost to Team Secret. At The Manila Major 2016, Team Liquid once again took second place, this time to OG. At The International 2016, the European team was favored to win, but ended up placing 7th-8th. In the following season, Ivan and his team missed The Boston Major 2016 but successfully qualified for The Kiev Major 2017. They finished 5th-8th in the tournament. They qualified for The International 2017 thanks to a victory at EPICENTER and won the championship. At the world championship, the team earned the gold, with MinD_ContRoL showing himself as the best offlaner in the world. His Nature's Prophet became a constant ban for the next six months. The team was at the top of tier-1 tournaments throughout the 2017-2018 season, earning silver at DreamLeague Season 8 and EPICENTER XL, and gold at China Dota2 Supermajor. Thanks to the new DPC ranking system, the team qualified directly for The International 2018, where they took 4th place. In the next season, the team earned silver at MDL Disneyland Paris Major and EPICENTER Major 2019, which allowed them to directly qualify for The International 2019. At the world championship, MinD_ContRoL and the team lost in the finals to OG with a score of 1:3.
After the world championship, the players and management of the club could not agree on contract terms, and so the entire team left Team Liquid, forming a new organization, Team Nigma. Skipping part of the 2019-2020 season, the team qualified for DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major thanks to their victory at WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020. At the major tournament, the team finished 7th-8th. Prior to the "era of online," team was able to win one of the last LAN tournaments in 2020, which was called WePlay! Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon. With the start of the pandemic, MinD_ContRoL and his friends disappointed many fans, winning only at OGA Dota PIT Season 2: EU/CIS in nine months. In the new DPC season, the team qualified for the Wild Card stage of ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021.
