Bio

Jesse JerAx Vainikka is a professional player originally from Finland, and a two-time winner of The Internatinal and Major tournaments. JerAx made a name for himself in Heroes of Newerth, after which he did his compulsory military service in the Finnish Navy. Upon his return Jesse began to successfully master Dota 2.

JerAx started his career in 2013 in the Finnish team Rat in the dark. After only a month he joined QPAD Red Pandas. After leaving QPAD Red Pandas, JerAx tried to form a new team in Sweden, but failed attempts forced him to return to Finland.

After a year break, JerAx becomes part of the new team 4 Anchors + Sea Captain. JerAx played on 4 pos and also served as captain and draft pick. In early January 2015, he left that team as well. JerAx later joined the international team Team Tinker. Two months of failed performances forced JerAx to once again part with the team. During 2015 Jesse tried himself in MVP.HOT6, 5Jungz, and by the end of the year he joined Team Liquid, with which he took second place at The Manila Major and The Frankfurt Major, and EPICENTER became the first won offline tournament for JerAx. Due to the good performances, Team Liquid received an invitational to The International 2016, where they placed in the top 8.

After TI, JerAx left Team Liquid and joined OG, with whom he won The Boston Major 2016, placed 2nd at DAC 2017 and 1st at The Kiev Major 2017, and won The International 2018 the following year. In 2019, OG repeated the success and took The International for the second time in a row. In January 2020, JerAx announced the end of his career, justifying this decision with a lack of motivation and desire to play further, but in 2021 he returned and joined Evil Geniuses.

In May, he served as the coach of PARIVISION at BLAST SLAM III, where the team lost in the second round of the playoffs and exited the tournament, finishing 7th–8th.
