Bio
Alexander VooDooSh Shalchinov is a streamer, content creator, and showman who gained popularity thanks to his charismatic broadcasts of Heroes of Might and Magic III, Dota 2, and other games. He is a frequent guest at poker and Dota 2 show tournaments.
Alexander was born on December 17, 1987, in the city of Ozersk, Chelyabinsk Region, Russia. Before coming to streaming platforms, he was actively interested in video games and spent a long time boosting accounts in World of Warcraft.
VooDooSh began streaming on Twitch in 2018, following the advice of Kirill Cake Zabrodin. His audience grew rapidly in 2020 thanks to his lively communication, self-irony, and ability to turn any gameplay into a show. His content has always been distinguished by a combination of gaming skill, sarcastic commentary, and improvisation.
VooDooSh has been following Dota 2 since childhood. However, he didn't really play it himself, preferring Warcraft. Shalchinov decided to give Dota 2 a serious try in 2023, when the massive 7.33 patch was released. According to Alexander, he had been following the discipline for a long time, but was afraid to start playing because of the high entry threshold.
It was the global update that inspired the streamer to try his hand at Dota. VooDooSh began to play actively and took a liking to Valve's MOBA. He managed to reach a mark of 4,000 MMR. But despite Alexander's fondness for Dota 2, he does not recommend anyone else play the game, criticizing its extremely toxic community and low-quality matchmaking. Nevertheless, he acknowledges that Dota 2 remains a unique phenomenon in the gaming industry and has participated in Dota 2 show tournaments on more than one occasion.
