Bio

Vitaliy v1lat Volochay is a Ukrainian commentator and presenter on Dota 2 and CS:GO. He is one of the founders of Maincast studio and RuHub

For a long time v1lat was a Dota commentator, but in 2011, when Valve announced the first The International with a prize of more than $1 000 000 to popularize Dota 2, Vitaliy changed the discipline. He was the only one to cover the tournament in Russian. For the next three years v1lat regularly attended The International. Everything changed for our hero when he became a co-founder of RuHub in 2015.

For three years, v1lat was actively involved in the development of RuHub. In addition to working in the analytics studio, he regularly created content for the studio's youtube channels. The most memorable tournaments with Vitaly's participation during this period were The Kiev Major 2017, Dota 2 Asia Championships 2015 and The International 2016. The last one was the most memorable for the audience, because after Natus Vincere was knocked out of the lower net by Team Liquid, our hero could not help himself and gave a monologue on air, which described the drop in the level of play of CIS teams, and the phrase "this is not our game" became a meme.

On April 1, 2018, v1lat left RuHub. Vitaly did not sit without work for long - in the summer of 2018 he created Maincast together with x3m4eg. At first Maincast worked on dash-2 and dash-3 tournaments, but in November it covered The Kuala Lumpur Major in russian. In 2019, before the arrival of Pandemic, v1lat managed to work The International 2019. The last offline tournament for Vitaly before the coronavirus epidemic was DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major. In the same winter of 2020, Maincast bought the rights from ESL and DreamHack to cover their tournaments in Russian for the next three years. This allowed v1lat to work not only on Dota 2 championships, but also on CS:GO, where he was often the host.

Throughout 2021, Vitaly made regular appearances at Valve's league matches for Europe, CIS, Southeast Asia and China. In addition, he was a presenter at 2 majors of the season - ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 and WePlay AniMajor.
