Bio

Ivan Artstyle Antonov is a Ukrainian professional player. He became known for his aggressive and strong play on Night Stalker, for which he received the nickname “Ivan-Balanar”, and the hero himself turned into an inseparable alter ego of Artstyle.

Ivan's most famous team in DotA was DTS Gaming, where Dendi, NS, LighTofHeaveN and Dread also played. After the Dota 2 beta was released, Artstyle moved to Natus Vincere to compete in The International 2011. NAVI was victorious, winning the first cybersport $1 million. However, the success did not convince Ivan to continue playing and he scandalously left Natus Vincere: the conflict was either over a girl or money, but Artstyle himself claimed that the problem was a lack of excitement.

A few more unique cases happened to a player in 2012. At the suggestion of Dmitry Smilyants, the owner of Moscow Five, Ivan was boycotted by 3 organizations at once: Moscow Five itself, DTS and Natus Vincere, reproaching Artstyle with unsportsmanlike behavior. The situation was aggravated when former Moscow Five members left together with Ivan to the Bulgarian organization Darer. As a member of Darer, Artstyle played at The International 2012 and took 9-12th place. After leaving Darer at the ASUS Open 2012, the player gave an interview in which he told that after leaving cybersport he started selling Christmas trees. At the time of his story Ivan was drunk.

After a short and not particularly productive stint with HellRaisers, Artstyle returned to Natus Vincere, where he finished 13-16th at The International 2015 and won the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2, but a 13-16th place at the next The International 2016 led to new roster changes.

After that Artstyle finished his pro career, making exceptions only for substitutions and fan tournaments, and started coaching: his experience helped Virtus.pro, Winstrike Team and EXTREMUM to perform well at various tournaments.
